When I was 8months old..

Now that im 17..

This is all about me, so I have to say something about myself. Sometimes just because you know yourself well you don’t know how to start .

At the age of 1, my father went abroad to work for us, for our family’s future. But when I turn on the 6th grade, he stop supporting us. It’s like from my point, it’s like he just pop a bubbles,(biglang naglaho?). From then on, I hate my father for leaving us, im not for the support but im into my family. Coz everytime in my school there is family day, Im sad coz I don’t have a father to show up to. But now Im happy that Im with my mother. But now in my age now, I stop hating him coz I cant change the past . I just have to prove to him that we made it , we survive even though he left us hanging.

I was born in a quite big family. I have more than 5 uncles and 6 aunties. I have so many cousins so I grow up friendly. My 3 aunties and my lolo help my mother to raise us.With the help of my lolo from the pension he supports us, my 2 tita’s live in our house. In that 3, my one tita got her family now. I know the sacrifice of my two tita’s coz they dedicated their life just for us, they don’t have their own family. But they say its ok coz they got us .

Studying, playing and messing around are my childhood memories. Im not good at math, so every time the releasing of my cards in elementary, I always got line of seven. My lolo used to teach me, but now he’s gone.he past away when im in 5th grade. From then on I strive to get good grades in math, and since then when turn highschool, I have no line of seven, Im not sayin im brilliant when it comes to math, I just know a little bout it.

2 P A C (Descriptive Essay)

I've decided that I wanted to write my descriptive essay all about the legendary rapper 2PAC. Why? Because I heard a lot about him, from my friends, especially my uncle in my mother side 'coz he was a fan of 2pac. Little did i know the impact that this man would have on this world. So here we go.

Tupac was the son of one of the famous "BLACK PANTHER" members, Afeni Shakur. This organization was a movement fighting for the prejudice against African Americans. By the year February 1971, Afeni, pregnant with tupac. And by the date of June 16,1971 Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in New York. His name was not just a name . It has meaning. Tupac Amaru are Inca words meaning "shining serpent". As i know serpent means snake. Anyways, Shakur means in Arabic is for "thankful to god". He was from a single parent family as many of the time were.He has a stepfather Mutulu Shakur and had a sister named Sekyiwa. So both his parents a member of Black Panther. I can imagine their family experienced hard times. His stepfather, was sentenced to sixty years for a fatal armored car robbery. This had been a very big impact on Tupac's life. Of course everyone who has a family and you grow no one to look up, its pathetic. He had no father figure that he could look up to.

Tupac was truly into arts,whether it was music film or poetry. He enrooled in the Baltimore School for the arts. Even at young age, Tupac was outspoken on the subject of racial equality. The loneliness began to wear on him. He retreated into writing love songs and poetry. I think he wanted to be an actor . Because in the arts of acting, he can escape from his dismal life.

In Baltimore at age fifteen, he fell into rap; he started writing lyrics. By the time he was twenty, Shakur had been arrested eight times being convicted of sexual abuse.

In addition to his status as a top-selling rap artist, he was a promising actor and a social activist. Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up , avid violence,racism, problems in the society and conflicts with other rappers during the East-Coast-West-Coast hip hop rivalry.

Shakur was initially a roadie and a back up dancer for the alternative hip hop ground Digital Underground. Violence was a theme not only in his art but in his life.

Shakur's professional entertainment career began in the early 1990's, when he debuted his rapping skills. After his rap debut, he performed with Digital Underground again on the album Sons of the P. Later he released his first solo album 2PACALYPSE Now. 2pacalypse Now did not do as well on the charts as future albums spawning no top ten hits. His second record , STRICTLY 4 MY N.I.G.G.A.Z. was released in 1993.

In late 1993 , Shakur formed the group "THUG LIFE" with a number of his friends; including Big Syke, Macadoshis, his stepbrother Mopreme Shakur and Rated R. The group usually performed WITHOUT 2pac.

Tupac has been addicted to drugs. Shakur has sold over 75million albums worldwide, making him one of the best selling music artists in the world. Rolling stone magazine named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time.

Path of life for tupac has been ups and downs. Playing along with him. In September 1996, Tupac Amaru Shakur was shot in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area of Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center, where he died of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest 6 days later Shakur's body was cremated.H died at the age of 25. So young ! :|

HIPHOP VERSUS ROCKERS(COMPARE AND CONTRAST)

Hip Hop is a popular urban youth culture, closely associated with rap music and with the style and fashions of African-American inner-city residents, a US pop culture movement originating in the 1980s comprising rap music, graffiti, and break dancing. Hip Hop people are the ones who wears SO big branded t-shirts, rounded one-size cap, and wears a 'bling-bling'(a word use to describe a big jewelry esp. has diamonds or spark/crystal/silver). On the other hand, Rockers was originally a British youth subculture that evolved out of the teddy boys in the 1960s; wore black leather jackets and jeans and boots; had greased hair and rode motorcycles and listened to rock'n'roll; were largely unskilled manual laborers. Some rockers wears jeans, Chuck Taylor shoes(Converse),sometimes associated with the word EMO and wore black shirt , have wristbands,around their eyes are thick eyeliners.

The advocacy of Hip hop and rockers, I dont really know what was their objective , but for me, as long as there is a et of values and common good on behalf of another, there will be no problem, because people will be the objects of the stated good to arise from such actions.

- Among the 19th century Chuckhi, the “soft men” (yirka-lául) were a category of biologically male shamans who adopted first female hairstyle, then female dress, and finally married males. They were hated and scorned but also feared by the rest of the Chuckhi, as they were considered to be much more powerful than other shamans (Price 2002, 302).The masculine gendered males who married the yirka-lául were not seen as 'third genders' but as 'men'.

The Americas

- The ancient Maya civilization may have recognized a third gender, according to historian Matthew Looper. Looper notes the androgynous Maize Deity and masculine Moon goddess of Maya mythology, and iconography and inscriptions where rulers embody or impersonate these deities. He suggests that the third gender could also include two-spirit individuals with special roles such as healers or diviners.Anthropologist and archaeologist Miranda Stockett notes that several writers have felt the need to move beyond a two-gender framework when discussing prehispanic cultures across mesoamerica,and concludes that the Olmec, Aztec and Maya peoples understood "more than two kinds of bodies and more than two kinds of gender." Inca

- Andean Studies scholar Michael Horswell writes that third-gendered ritual attendants to chuqui chinchay, a jaguar deity in Incan mythology, were "vital actors in Andean ceremonies" prior to Spanish colonisation. For me , since then , there were people either men nor woman in their own perspective.There are just some people who don't accept it.

But were not blind to see how people treat the people who are in the third sex community,they are being discriminate,often leads that they are taken for granted,social exclusion.For me , even though im a girl i can feel and see what they were going through.They feel like that they don't fit anywhere; they have fear and discomfort.I have friends who are in third sex , and i have a cousin who was 'tomboy' , but I Love them and i accept it for that.

Another thing is why same sex marriage is not allowed in the Philippines.To my side and opinion, our country is a Christian dominant country in Asia. Same sex marriage is a term they use for a legally or socially recognized marriage between two individuals of the same sex. Popular now was Jon Santos a comedian and an impersonator revealed that he has been married for three years to an Italian American named West Stewart.In other country same sex marriage are being accepted and legalized. We Filipinos valued marriage a lot and respect it's meaning and it's purpose in the cycle of life.We Filipinos respect marriage a lot and that is why there is no law pertaining to divorce, but only annulment of marriage which is a long process, timely, and costly before it's approval.For me, Filipinos are trying to protect every family and same sex marriage would only destroy the culture of us pertaining to family.

A lack of acceptance and emotional support from family and friends often leads third gender people to have high incidence of depression,anxiety and substance abuse. Third gender youth in particular have been shown to have a higher rate of parental abuse,suicide, and attempted suicide. This lack of support at an early age is often compounded by the discrimination third gender people face as adults.

In our community it's normal for us that we see third sex in their own fashion and styles.Bakla wearing girls dresses, tomboy wears exactly what man and teenager guys wear. Third gender population are getting increase. Like what i heard in my gay friends, "Ang mga bakla wala namang mga matres pero dumadame. Ha,haha!". They are part of our society.

Third genders are socially and economically integrated into Filipino Society, and are considered an important part of society. The stereotype of a bakla is a parlorista,who works in a beauty salon.Some third gender works at office, or an artist like Mama Rene Salud, Ricky Reyes , and the owner of Aficionado Joel Cruz, a fashion model,a singer like Aiza Seguerra , a teacher, and jobs that male and female has.

In our government there is no ordinance or proposal anywhere in the Philippines from local government units that focused on the rights of gays and lesbians. They tend to forget them. They can help in elections too.
